About Todok

Todok is a typing test you can start the moment the page opens. It measures speed and accuracy and then shows, on a picture of the keyboard, which keys you missed and which were slow.

What you can do here

How scores are calculated

WPM is correct characters ÷ 5 ÷ minutes. Accuracy is correct key presses ÷ all key presses, judged at the moment each key is pressed. The full rules are under How the numbers are calculated, and the worked examples are in How WPM is calculated. Typing sites do not all count the same way, and we do not claim our numbers match anyone else's.

Counting five characters as one word is the definition used in typing research too. It is stated in a 2018 paper that analysed 136 million keystrokes (Dhakal et al., CHI 2018, checked 2026-10-10).

Practice text

The sentences were written for this site and the word list is our own pick of very common words. The pangrams are long-standing anonymous ones or written here. There is no text from books, articles, lyrics, poems, films or quotes.

On your device

What you type and your results stay in this browser and are not sent to a server. There is no account. How ads and visit statistics work is described in the privacy policy.

What we could not check

Keyboards and input methods behave a little differently from device to device. If something is measured oddly, write to the address below and include your device and browser.

Who makes it
